2007 Alive & Running for Suicide Prevention 5K/10K

Did you know that every year 30,000 people in this country commit suicide? Perhaps you have known someone - a friend, neighbor, or employee - who has shown the warning signs of suicide, and didn’t know how to help him or her. In that critical moment when a person in crisis needs someone to listen, someone to care, Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center is here to help.

In its ninth year, the Alive & Running for Suicide Prevention 5K/10K expects more than 4,000 runners, walkers, spectators, and volunteers from all over Los Angeles to join together in raising awareness and funding for Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center's suicide prevention services. Adults and children alike will enjoy our health and fitness expo, prizes, and finish line festivities.

Proceeds from Alive & Running will directly benefit Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center.

Event Location:

Westchester Parkway north of LAX, and just west of Sepulveda Blvd.

Registration and Start/Finish: 88th St. and La Tijera Blvd.
